Word Drop

Word Drop — Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026

Word Drop is an arcade word game for iPhone made by David Long. The short version: Word Drop does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts.

What the app stores

Your game progress — scores, coins, gems, boosters, unlocked themes, daily streak, and settings — is saved only on your device. It never leaves your iPhone, and we have no way to see it. Deleting the app deletes this data.

In-app purchases

Purchases of gem packs, coin packs, and the Starter Pack are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details, and Apple does not share them with us. Apple’s handling of purchases is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

Game Center leaderboards

If you choose to use the optional leaderboards, scores are submitted to Game Center, Apple’s game service. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy; the app only sends your score, and your Game Center nickname and any profile visibility are managed by you in your device’s settings. If you never sign in to Game Center, the game works exactly the same — nothing is submitted.

What we don’t do

Children

Word Drop is safe for all ages. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

Changes to this policy

If a future update ever changes how the app handles data, this policy will be updated here first, with a new effective date, before that update ships.
